ANGRYBODIES is a multilingual, musical performance in which we celebrate the emancipating power of anger. For a long time, we did not take our anger seriously. We preferred to be nuanced, charming and relatable. In this project, we want to embrace and shout out our anger. To the beats of Anne van de Star, we perform political manifestos in the form of punk songs. For our manifestos, we delve into the themes of our fossil fuel addiction, our desire for a dissolved patriarchy, our concerns about human rights, our need for care and our dislike of profit, among others. In the capacity of two fearless alter-egos who play politics without detours and are not afraid to take up space, we bring an engaged and energetic performance where we invite the audience to be ANGRY: you may scream, sing and dance along.
